Tekton Mini Flat Nose Pliers are made for handling thin parts and sheet stock, flat jaws offer uniform contact and sure grip. Fine crosscut teeth are oriented at 120 degrees to each other-60 degrees to each side of the jaw centerline-the serrations are cut in two passes to form fine, regularly-spaced, diamond-shaped teeth. Unlike single serrations cut straight across the jaw, this pattern creates uniform contact across the jaw surface, allowing you to grasp, pull, and twist evenly in any direction. A recessed coil spring gently assists the opening action of the pliers, reducing hand fatigue and overall control. Wide profile handles create a larger contact area for fingertips to rest comfortably. Slim vinyl grips add a bit of cushion and a nonslip surface without being bulky. All Tekton mini pliers are made from a custom-engineered steel alloy with a high carbon content reaching 44 - 48 HRC in its final hardened state. The main faces of the head and upper handle get their final surface with an extra fine 320 grit polishing process. Instead of adding a thick lacquer coating that scratches or chips off over time, the surface is protected by an ultra thin layer of dry-to-touch oil that can be maintained and recoated throughout the life of the pliers.
