TEKTON Ball Peen Hammers are useful for setting rivets, shaping metal, creating surface texture, and tapping out gaskets. The hammer has two striking faces. The flat round face spreads force evenly, making it useful for driving, flattening, and smoothing material. The ball peen concentrates force at a small point of impact, driving material radially outward in all directions. A steel collar provides overstrike protection, helping prevent damage to the wooden handle just below the head. A tapered Torx wedge screw expands the wooden handle within the hammer eye hole to secure the head. The hammer is made up of a Torx wedge screw, a steel head with polished faces and black powder coat finish, a steel collar with red powder coat finish, and a hickory handle with clear coat finish.
