However, for steam service, the inlet must be above the outlet and the bottom of the core must drain toward the outlet. They are designed to be suspended from the top of the cabinet either with 2 or 4 (depending on model) 5/8 in. NC bolts screwed into internally threaded holes provided in the cabinet top panel. Adequate structural support must be provided for installation. Depending on their purpose, heaters may be mounted at any reasonable height above floor level. When equipment is placed in a seldom occupied building, the heaters may be placed at a low level. When heaters are required to ensure personnel comfort, they should be mounted overhead.
