The Lambro 6-in. Galvanized Steel Fresh Air Intake Wall Vent with 3-in. Pipe allows clean, fresh air into the home when gas appliances are present or when today’s houses are airtight. The vent design for new and replacement installations over an existing 6-in. opening. It features an opening containing a wire mesh screen with a net-free area of 18 sq. in. Removing the screen for an unrestricted opening provides a net-free area 34 sq. in. The vent’s manufacturing material is 26-gauge galvanized steel for durability to maintain longevity. All gas appliances should have a fresh air intake vent if they are indoors. These include gas heaters, fireplaces that use gas, gas water heaters, and gas dryers. If they don’t have a fresh air intake vent, they rely on the oxygen in the air, adding carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide in unhealthy ranges to the home. The Concentric Vent allows both the intake for combustion air and the exhaust vent to pass through a standard roof or sidewall. This is an alternative to the standard two pipe intake/vent shown in the basic furnace installation instructions. The 22153 Concentric Vent kit is for use with 3 in. intake/vent systems. Refer to the furnace installation instructions for intake/vent pipe sizing information. Warning Do not use the Concentric Vent kit for anything other than a Category IV furnace. The piston kit is part of a long line of genuine Husky replacement parts. The kit is made up of aluminum castings, metal cylinder sleeve, ball bearing and a proprietary ring compound. With each revolution of the piston, air is pulled in through the intake valves on the down stroke and compressed air is transferred through the exhaust valves to the tank on the up stroke.
