TEKTON Cross Peen Hammers are useful across a wide range of applications, including forging, metalwork, masonry, carpentry, and light demolition. The hammer has two striking faces. The flat octagonal face spreads force evenly, making it useful for driving, flattening, and smoothing material. The cross peen concentrates force along a narrow edge, allowing controlled shaping, drawing, and striking in tight spaces near corners or obstructions. A steel collar provides overstrike protection, helping prevent damage to the wooden handle just below the head. A tapered Torx wedge screw expands the wooden handle within the hammer eye hole to secure the head. The hammer is made up of a Torx wedge screw, a steel head with polished faces and black powder coat finish, a steel collar with red powder coat finish, and a hickory handle with clear coat finish.
