This Yonico 12134q Router bits can be used to cut cabinet door center panels as well as base boards, casings, etc. This is a wide diameter bit with 1/4 in. shank, therefore extra precautions such as reducing the feed rate and cutting at multiple depth stops should be taken. Other Yonico router bit options are the Yonico 12147q (vertical) or the Yonico 12134 (1/2 in. shank). Use a raised panel router bit to reduce the thickness of the center panel of rail and stile doors while at the same time adding a beautiful profile to the edge. Install 1 of these bits in your table mounted router and route your panels face down. Raised panel router bits have a large diameter and remove a lot of material, so make sure you have a router with enough horsepower to handle this kind of work. All standard raised panel bits are fitted with radial bearings to make adjustment of the router table fence easy. Do not use these bits in handheld routers. If you are using stock that is very thick, choose 1 of our raised panel router bits with a back cutter blade. These will remove excess stock from the back of the panel as well.
