The base of the clip bites into the joist for a secure hold and it's simple to tilt your first board up slightly and push it into the clips. You can also use STARTER Clips for your last board. Install them as you would your first board, place your last board in the clips, then slide the second-to-last board in place. Break the legs or wings off Fiberon EDGE or EDGEX Clips, slide the screw and metal gusset down the groove and fasten it to the joist. Repeat on both sides of the board. Fiberon STARTER Clips are made of 304 Stainless Steel that offers superior corrosion resistance against the elements. 1 package contains 25 clips and 25 screws and covers approximately 30 lin. ft. with a joist spacing of 16 in.
